Our Guarantee
Plant Size and Quality
All plants sold by The Planted Aquarium are guaranteed to be of similar size and quality to that shown in the product photo. Each potted plant comes in a 2-inch net pot. Please contact us with any concerns regarding the size or condition of your plants.
Refund Policy
In the unlikely event that a plant arrives to you DOA (Dead on arrival), please email us a photo of the plant within 24 hours of receiving it in the mail still in its original packaging and we will issue a refund. This guarantee does not currently apply to Canada Post shipments. While we still offer Canada Post for many locations, using this option is at your own risk and our DOA policy will not apply.
Should the plants not arrive in great condition, please email us photos of your damaged, melting or dying plants within 24 hours of arrival and we can discuss a solution. Once the plants have gone into your aquarium, we can no longer take responsibility for their health. We take customer satisfaction very seriously and will do our best to find a fair solution to any problem you may be having.

Cancellations
We understand that things happen and mistakes can occur, so if you need to cancel your order after it is placed, please contact us at info@theplantedaquarium.ca as soon as possible and we can cancel the order on your behalf and issue a full refund. Please note that cancellations can only occur before the plants have been shipped.
Return Policy
Unfortunately, due to the nature of shipping aquatic plants we are unable to receive returns, however if the plant you receive is not to your satisfaction, please contact us and we can discuss a solution. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Winter Policy
Between November and March, orders will be shipped in insulated packaging with a biodegradable heat pack free of charge. We may need to hold shipments if it is colder than -10 degrees Celsius as this could significantly lower the plant's chance of survival. In the event this happens, we will contact you to let you know of any changes in your delivery time.
Pests
All plants that enter our facility are immediately sanitized in a chemical bath to remove any unwanted pests before entering into any of our tanks. We monitor our tanks daily and do our best to ensure your plants do not come with any hitch-hikers. However, given the nature of how these plants are grown by nurseries, there is always a small chance the plants could come with pests. Therefore, if you are very concerned about introducing pests into your tank, we always recommend sanitizing and/or quarantining plants before introducing them into your system, regardless of where you buy them.
